Starting off we will work our way up to Steep point taking the scenic route once we get there look around and take a photo at the infamous sign, check out the blow holes and cliffs of the point. Settle down in the arvo for some drinks and nibbles then an early night for an early morning trip across to the island.

One by one we will board the barge and head across to the beautiful Dirk Hartog Island.

Discovered over 400 years ago it is still an isolated remote place to go camping and to explore.

Our 10 day adventure exploring the beaches, cliffs, blow holes, sand dunes will then start.

Watch the last sunset in the country as you stand on massive cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean at the most western point in Australia. Whale watching, fishing exploring, 4wding, maybe even see some wildflowers if the rains get there in time.

We will be camping at a couple of locations on the island so you will get to see just about everything.

 

You will need to be fully self sufficient for the 11 days. There is very limited resources once we are on the island.

Breakfasts will be provided. All other meals, drinks and nibbles are BYO.

There will be a couple of nights that we will have communal meals or have a cookup for all to share.

​

Kids are welcome but please be aware that this is a remote area and can be dangerous.

​

Ideally this trip would suit Swags, Tents & Off road camper trailers.

Small tinnies can also be bought over but again combined length limits apply.

Length limit of 10.6 Metres & max weight is 6 Tonnes.

Fuel: Vehicle must have at least 800kms fuel capacity, or be able to carry a gerrycan of fuel for top up.

As this is a group booking, and made 12 months in advance there is a Non refundable deposit required to secure your place on this adventure, If you cancel booking you need to find a replacement to take your spot or you forfeit the deposit. Please be aware of the above as it is important.
