Meeting Point: Overlander Roadhouse (allow approx 7.5 - 8hrs travel time)
You can book to stay at Billabong approx 60kms before Overlander if you want to get moving on the Friday.
Duration of trip - 1 night at Steep Point
- 10 days/9 nights on Hartog Island

The rate below is per vehicle for a trip with Minimum of 6 vehicles
- Maximum of 8 vehicles
This will be a 11 day trip with lots of 4wding, Exploring, Fishing, Relaxing & Remote Camping.
We will be camping in bush camps, so please make sure you bring everything with you. We will explore some amazing things along the way.
Things you will need to know and bring with you::
You will need to be fully self sufficient for the 11 days. There is very limited resources once we are on the island.
No fuel. No fresh water and no shops. All rubbish must be taken out, so pack wisely.
You will need to bring all your Food, Drinks, Cooking and Camping equipment..
Drinking Water to cover the 11 days plus any water for other uses (showers, cooking, drinking, washing etc)
Quiet generators are ok. Solar panels are always a great idea. Small tinnies, Canoes/kayaks. Camera.
Bring your Fishing gear, bait and tackle. We will also have bait and some fishing gear. Fishing rules and limits apply and if you are bringing a tinny be sure you have all safety gear and permits/licences (if required) If bringing a boat on a trailer (Length limits apply) be aware that we do need to get to Steep Point which is on bush tracks. Some boggy sandy hills and rough surfaces.
Roof top tinnies have been popular in the past.
There will be some sites with drop loos so thats always an added bonus. Otherwise its the good ol' bush loo. If you bring a chemical loo be aware there are no dump points on the island.
This day out is still being arranged. (Full Details TBA)
A Fishing Charter by one of Denhams best is still being arranged and will be at an additional cost to those who would like to go out for a full day of offshore fishing. All fishing equipment for the day is provided. The charter will pick us up from the island in the morning and arrive back later in the evening. (costs TBA)
This has always been an awesome day out.
Ideally this trip would suit Swags & Tents & Off road camper trailers. Length limits apply on car and trailer combos.
No dogs or pets.
Be sure to bring your camera as there will be some great photo opportunities.
No strict schedules just easy going day trips, relaxing or fishing depending what you feel like on the day.
Breakfast will be provided for you to cook up most mornings when we are ready to start the day.
We will have Bacon, Eggs, Beans/Spag, Toast. Cereal, Tea, Coffee, Milk and Milo on offer.
There will also be nibbles supplied at the end of each day when we stop and relax for the evening at camp.
There will be a couple of nights that we will have communal meals or have a cookup for all to share.
All other meals, drinks and nibbles are BYO.
Rates: $2550 per Vehicle (based on 2 people)
This cost include all Steep point camping fees, Barge transfer on/off the island, Hartog Park Passes & Camping fees, homestead tour, guides who have been there and can take you to all the great spots, camp fees for the Homestead campsite with hot showers, camp kitchen and toilets. Breakfast and some meals, some fishing gear & bait. Bar at the homestead will be open for us to enjoy a sundowner, purchase a few bevies and watch the final sunset of our island adventure.
So all you have to do is pack the car with your food, drinks and camping gear and we will take you out on an adventure.

Catchup prior to the event will take place to answer any questions and check over vehicles etc.

Photos taken during the trip will be available to view & download once we return home.
For bookings & information
No Alcohol is to be consumed during the days while we are driving.
Children are always welcome, but this is a remote and can sometimes be hazardous terrain and very high cliff faces.
All vehicles must be licensed, roadworthy and have front & rear recovery points. You should also have full insurance and good remote recovery cover. Two spare tyres are advised to be taken. Basic spares and tools.
A pre-trip check for your vehicle is essential. We have a couple of businesses on board to help you out with full Mechanical check, Auto-Electrical checkup, Tyres, 4wd accessories and Camping goods.
When you book a tour we will give you all their details to get your check up and everything you need to make your trip enjoyable.
