This one is for all the girls out there that either sit in the passenger seat on trips or just need a bit of a confidence booster. Even if you haven't been behind the wheel of the family 4by thats ok we can show you a few things to get you out and about. At some point you might be the only one available to drive your car out of an emergency situation, do you know how to engage 4wd, do you know how to negotiate rutts, inclines, declines, water crossings even just driving on gravel roads? If the answer is No then this one is for you.
Partners and friends are welcome to come along, as long as they are a patient and supportive passengers :)
Once we head into the bush we will be exploring the tracks and learning what you, and your car can do.
The tracks can be challenging at times but nothing we haven't put new lady drivers through in the past. We will go through a few basics like tyre pressures, different recovery gear and the dos & donts on different terrain. Where the lowest points and highest points of your vehicle are before heading off.
Great way to try out your skills in a controlled area. So come along and have a go. You never know you might just do a bit more driving next time you hit the tracks with your partner.
We will provide you with lunch (sausage sizzle) and tea or coffee. If you don't eat sausages you will need to BYO lunch.
Things you will need:
Bring your morning tea, drinks and a chair. If you do not eat beef sausages please bring anything you would like to put on the bbq.
Closed in shoes and appropriate clothing for the days weather. Sunscreen & hat.
If you have any recovery gear bring it along. We have a full recovery kit for use on the day but always good to see what others have and show you ways to use it. Tyre deflator & compressor.
Be sure to bring your camera as there should be some great photo opportunities.
Kids are welcome, but dogs are not allowed in the area.
Rates: $250 per vehicle (based on 2 people)
Each car receives a goodie bag from Get Lost Tours.
Plus any photos from the days adventures will be sent once we return to Perth.
No Alcohol is to be consumed during the days driving.
Children are always welcome.
NO PETS as we will be in a National Park.
All vehicles must be licensed, roadworthy and have front & rear recovery points. You should also have full insurance and good remote recovery cover. At least one spare tyre, two are always a good option as well if you can carry them.
If you need advice or explanation of any of the above please phone/email us.
